The Story of M & J's Coffeehouse

Hello, and thank you for visiting our website.

My parents were the inspiration for M & J’s Coffeehouse. They worked their entire lives and sacrificed so much to make sure their family came first. They also embedded in us that the most important things in life really aren’t things. I attribute much of who I am as a person to my parents and I thank them for that.

My dad passed away with Alzheimer’s, a debilitating disease that changed a lot of things in him, yet I knew he was still there inside. He was one of the most kind, gentle, and caring people I have ever known. He was the greatest man ever and my inspiration for everything in my life.

My mom passed away from Parkinson’s and Dementia. Mom was the driving force supporting my dad in the businesses they owned together. She was a go-getter and always strove for success in all she did. She taught us how to achieve goals that were set and never to give up on our dreams.

We at M & J’s are doing our part to help end these diseases for other families. We will be giving a portion of every sale to the Alzheimer’s Association in my dad’s name, Maurice Kolbeck (pictured below with his grandchildren) and to the Parkinson’s Foundation in my mom’s name, Jeanette Kolbeck. We will also make donations in the name of Clarence Wedel, my wife Cynthia’s dad, who also suffered from this disease.

Thank you again for supporting our mission against these deadly diseases.

Stan
